Breidert was established in the 1940's as a manufacturer of gravity vent caps. In the following decades, Breidert became an industry leader by adding the design, manufacture and sale of spun aluminum centrifugal exhaust fans.

In 1992, Breidert was purchased by Stanley Fans, a popular regional manufacturer of axial fans. These complementary product lines were merged into one complete line under the Breidert Air Products name and compete in the plan and spec, commercial, light industrial and food service markets. In 2004, Breidert was acquired by Soler & Palau Ventilation Group based in Barcelona, Spain.

After the 2004 acquisition, the Jacksonville, Florida, facility has remained the US corporate headquarters which utilizes the latest manufacturing equipment and engineering technology. Within the facility there is an AMCA licensed air and sound lab and product development testing center which is among the industry's finest.
